My uPASS gets me to the party.
While for many of us the bus is a cheap and easy way to get to campus, the uPASS also opens the city to students for less than ever. When you combine public transit savings with the Studentsaver discounts offered by the uPASS as an International Student Identity Card (ISIC), the uPASS is a money-saving powerhouse! From Westboro to Bank Street to Main Street in Centretown, taking advantage of the City of Ottawa’s hot spots has never been easier.
Check out the Studentsaver website to see what savings the uPASS holds for you!
My uPASS saves me money.
Thanks to the uPASS program, affordable public student transit has never been more accessible. Prior to the uPASS, student semester passes cost $586 for the academic year, compared to only the $290 uPASS fee!
What’s more, the uPASS benefits even the casual rider: the cost of the uPASS per month is less than taking six return trips on a regular bus route, or just over once weekly.
Thanks to the uPASS, we ride public transit for less, and that’s one less financial worry off our shoulders as students.
My uPASS is eco-friendly.
By using our uPASSES, we are taking a step forward by using public transit to get to school and around Ottawa. By working together to implement environmentally-friendly programs like the uPASS, the University of Ottawa community is taking steps to ensure that we lead the pack when it comes to sustainability.
For students who need to use para transpo, please contact the uPASS coordinator at u-pass@sfuo.ca
The Universal Bus Pass is a program provided by your Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (www.sfuo.ca)
